While traveling may not be an option for everyone, there are a number of quick “day” getaways that you can plan. These plans are so fun that you will certainly feel like you are on a vacation! Take a look at our choices.

#1: An amusement park. When is the last time you rode a rollercoaster? Find the closest amusement park near you and plan a day trip. If there is not a park nearby, you may want to plan a mini-weekend getaway. At the very least, you will enjoy a change of scenery and pace.

#2: Whale watching. Have you ever seen a great whale up close and personal? It’s thrilling, girlfriend. Find out where there are whale watches in your area (if you live on the coast, of course) and watch just how majestic these creatures really are. Most whale watching cruise lines are also very educational and informative, so your children will be expanding their knowledge, too.

#3: National park. Mountain climbing? Walking? Hiking? Head over to the closest national park with your family and enjoy the great outdoors. These is not only a great way to get your heart rate up, but to spend quality time away from electronics.

#4: Camping. Whether you find a campground close by our make your own in the backyard, camping is a fun pastime that your children will always remember. Don’t forget to tell ghost stories around the fire and indulge on the s’mores!

What are some of your upcoming plans? Take the “getaway” that you and your family deserve. Seriously, you work hard, mama!
