Healthy Snacking: Roasted Broccoli

Another snack attack? Allow us to help you kill that 2 o’clock craving with one of our favorite healthy recipes. Roasted broccoli is nutritious, filling, and oh so delicious.


You will need:

  • 1 head of broccoli (cut into long florets)
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves (with the skin on)
  • ½ tsp red-pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbs lemon juice

To make:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • Toss broccoli, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes – add to baking sheet
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Roast veggies until browned and tender – about 20 minutes (you may want to stir and toss occasionally)
  • Once done, toss with lemon juice and serve!

This recipe will serve 4 people, so feel free to bulk up and double if necessary. Or maybe you are going to eat this all by yourself – hey, it happens. At least it’s healthy!
