Natural Baby Bites: Pumpkin Head

Pumpkin puree for your little pumpkin! Around this time of year, pretty much everyone is going crazy for pumpkin flavor, so it only makes sense to bring your baby up to speed with the rest of the world. Pumpkin is packed with vitamin A and beta carotene, which can help reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. You can say pumpkin is a great addition to anyone’s diet!

If your baby is at 6 months, he or she can enjoy pumpkin.* Mix it with other purees, yogurt, or even a dash of cinnamon for a little sweetness. Aside from the vitamin A and beta cartone, pumpkin also provides a great dose of fiber, potassium, and calcium.



  • 1 sugar pumpkin
  • Water
  • Cinnamon


  • Peel, de-seed, and cube your pumpkin
  • Add cubes to a large pot, fill halfway with water, cover, and steam until cooked
  • Allow to cool a bit before mashing with a fork and mixing with cinnamon

It may seem like an ordeal to puree pumpkin, but we promise… it’s not! We won’t be surprised if you enjoy this one, too.
